iPad by Fábio Vieira and Paulo Ribeiro - 10º O
What is the iPad?
The iPad is presented as the missing link between smartphones and laptops.
After the presentation and some contacts with journalists, many criticisms began to be listened about the gadget of Steve Jobs.
The multitasking is nonexistent, one can not be listening to the radio online or use Skype while writing a text document. The operating system used is the same as the iPhone, such as store applications (since there are 140 thousand applications created).
The lack of connections to other devices such as USB ports, HDMI input or memory cards, is one of the main criticisms. The USB connection can only be done through an adapter. And in terms of internal characteristics, is the processor at 1GHz is enough?
The lack of cameras when he was expected to have two video conferencing is also a weakness noted. The lack of Flash support I also have explicit during the presentation, when Jobs tried to open a Web page and the icon of plug-in is appeared on the screen.
In terms of connections, versions are available Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi with 3G, but seems to lack a way to make data synchronization via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, for example.
Finally, the size is also one of the criticisms heard on the Internet. With ten inches and a huge frame, the iPad seems to be too big to handle with one hand while navigating with the other. The most stable form of writing is the same land iPad table or lap.
Besides all this, there is the matter of the name: Fujitsu claims to have the name registered in the U.S. and STMicroelectronics says that the name iPad patent belongs to him, the European market. Furthermore, pad is the English term for sanitary towel.
